is there a way to update the medical data form being student?
the only way that i’ve seen to do it is being parent, but i just want to use student accounts.
when i request a data update the student accounts only can update the personal data, not the medical data because in the combo box to select a person doesn’t appear nothing as a student.

I don’t see why not. 
Admin> User Admin> User Management> Manage Permissions
Go to module ‘Data Updater’ and action ‘Update Medical Form_family’.
Adjust the permissions by adding student role and you should be good to go.

It looks like the Data Updater has been created with parents in mind, so it uses code to look for family members based on being an adult in the family, rather than a child. So right now this isn’t possible with the current permissions.
Yeah, I can reproduce that. That doesn’t work as expected. The choose user form doesn’t make sense here, I guess.

To explain a little more, the permissions might seem counter-intuitive. However, it is possible to have a “student” who is an adult within a family, and so Gibbon was designed to allow these kinds of contingencies.
Depending on the structure of your school, you could make this work in your favour. Can you tell us more about your setup? Thanks! Ross.
How this is posible?
it is possible to have a “student” who is an adult within a family, i tried assign it a parent role to the student but i couldn’t see the update form even switching the role in the user’s dashboard.
I am trying to implement Gibbon in a university graduate level.
