I’m not quite sure what are “Attendance By Form Group” and “Attendance By Person” used for. And what are the differences between school attendance and class attendance(like in the image)? Can somebody please help explain! Thanks

School Attendance refers to presence in school: such attendance can be taken for a whole form group at a time, or for an individual student.
Class Attendance is presence within a particular academic class. If someone is in school, we expect them to be in class: if they are not, that is a problem.
School and Class attendance can be linked, under Admin > School Admin > Attendance Settings, but this can have knock-on consequences.
