Is there any way that the student can edit his own profile, and update his own photo…
Every time I think I have worked out how (changing permissions etc) … I haven’t. ?
Unfortunately, the permissions for editing user data and uploading photos are within User Admin, under Import User Photos and Manage Users_edit, and these permissions are not very nuanced. Giving these permissions to students would allow them to edit the profiles and photos of everyone in school, which would probably be quite destructive before long. Sorry about that!
Addendum: You can enable individuals to update their own personal data via Data Updater, but this does not include photos.
