We just set up Gibbon to see if it can replace our current student management system.
Is there a extension/plugin that can send a SMS to parents?
For example, list all absent students and then send an a SMS to parents.

Nevermind, I figured it out, only works with one provider. Wonder how easy it would be to create a module to use a 4g modem so we could use any provider.

Hi Jake, whilst OneWay SMS (the provider Gibbon works with) does provide great service on the whole, they don’t cover all countries, and are not as cheap as some other options, and so it would be nice to have the ability to choose other providers. Sadly, the core Gibbon team have not had a chance to look into this…but perhaps it is something that someone in the community might care to contribute. Thanks, Ross.
