Shared server installation

I want to install Gibbon on a shared server using softclaus installer.
1, Do i need composer on my host?
2, Do Gibbon has the feature that lets teachers add grades to certain subjects and the students can view their grades by logging into their account?

Hello! Welcome to Gibbon! To answer your questions:

  1. Yes, you will need Composer, as current versions of Gibbon make use of it.
  2. Yes, teachers can enter grades using the Markbook module, and students can use the same module to view grades that have been entered for them.

Hope this helps!

Addendum: Since you’re using Softaculous, you should be running the stable version and not need Composer! Only cutting edge code (e.g. our development version) requires composer.
