It would be great if student profile photos were different each year, allowing us to see each student’s progress from year to year.
Is this possible?

Hi @imamnurs
Currently, Gibbon does store photos from the previous years in the file system. However, it only displays the latest picture. I think it would be a great feature and have added it to the future development ideas. Hopefully, we can roll it out in v30 or v31.
I’m sure so too.
When I look at school data from term to term, I don’t see any progress in student photos from Grade 1 to Grade 10.
It only shows the most recent photo.
Thank you
Hi @imamnurs Thanks to Ali’s hard work, this feature has been added to Gibbon in v30, so it will now start keeping a copy of the photo for each school year, while still using the latest photo on profiles.
Thank you very much Sandra.

It would be nice if parents can upload their kids pictures.
Hi @calx
Thank you for your suggestion. I can see how it can be useful for different schools as they rely on the parents to provide the pictures of the student. We will add it to the development plan and see how it rolls out in the upcoming versions. Thank you.
I just updated to v30. I updated one of my students’ profile photos to the latest one, but when I tried to switch to the previous school year, the profile photo that appeared was the latest one.
Please help.
Thank you

Hi @imamnurs it looks like Ali has built this feature to help preserve the photos, so they can be retrieved in future years. At this time, it doesn’t automatically change previous photos when logged into past years, which would be a more significant change to the system. We could look into this as a future improvement.
