No access to view a student application

Hi all,

I got a student application notification but when i click on Action, it gives me “You don’t have access to this action”.

I have the admin access and permission in Admissions module seems alright.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Hi @tony.zhang This is odd. Can I confirm which version of Gibbon you’re using, and if you’re using the new Application Form system via Form Builder, or the old one? There are currently two systems available as we transition from the old to the new. The new one lives in Admissions, and the old one is in the Students module.

The gibbon we are testing with is version 28.

You probably caught it~ I checked the front page, the application form url is like this https://mydomain/?q=/modules/Students/applicationForm.php, so it seems still using the one under student module I guess? How to switch it to the new one then? I’ve looked over but couldn’t figure it out.

ah i found it under School admin - admissions settings - enable new admissions page… testing it out now.

Yeah it did work with the new one under admissions.

Good to know about this!

But there is definitely issues loading the application that’s submitted thru the old one tho~

Thanks, glad to hear you found the application toggle and have a solution. Yes, it looks like the default permissions may have got a bit mixed during the transition. If Students > Manage Applications were to be turned back on, it should resolve the permission issue with the notifications from the old form. I’ll have a look and fix this for next release.
