Locate doesnt work

Under my environment:
Windows, Wamp server, Apache MySQL PHP

Beginner in gibbon, The latest version of Gibbon installed and setup.

My problem is cannot changed the language from Chinese to English, no matter i have set any other languages.
It shows no change. It said in Chinese something like the locate is not developed.
So what can i do? please help.

Hi George,

I am not 100% sure on this as I don’t have any Windows hosting experience, but I suggest you look at:

  1. Is gettext installed and running on your server?
  2. Is the locale/language you wish to use installed on your server?

In my experience using Linux, often the answer to one or both of these is “no”, and that prevents translation from working.
