Issues with Library Book Checkout and Language Settings

Hello everyone,

I am completely new to Gibbon and have little to no experience, but I’m proud to say that I was able to successfully complete the installation of the software, and I love it so much!

I have a question about the Library feature in Gibbon. We have students at our school, but I would also like to offer books for borrowing to non-students. I have added books to the library, but I’m facing a couple of issues:

  1. Book Search Issues: When I try to search for books by their names (which are quite specific), the search does not seem to work. How exactly does the book checkout system work for students? I’m unsure how they can borrow books if the search is not functioning correctly.
  2. Language Settings Issue: Despite setting the language to German in the settings, the interface language doesn’t seem to change. What could be causing this?

I’d greatly appreciate any guidance or help with these two issues. Thank you in advance for your support!

I’m unable to reproduce the problem with the search and language settings, as they appear to be functioning correctly on my end. To better understand what might be causing the problem, could you please provide details about your setup, including your LAMP/MAMP stack configuration, server environment, phpMyAdmin version, and the specific version of Gibbon you’re using, as this information will help identify any underlying compatibility issues or configuration differences that might be contributing to the problem.
