The names will only be added to messages sent to parents, so if you’ve sent a message and received a copy back to yourself, it will not have the names on it. Are you able to double-check this, and perhaps let us know which target you were using for your message? Thanks.

I’m having the same issue with messages sent to parents.
The target is “Individuals” as we sometimes need to send the same message to several people and it’s expedient to send one message, instead of multiple messages.

Just to clarify, this feature is currently designed to work when you’re targeting specific groups like classes or teams and including parents in the communication. It helps parents quickly identify which of their children the message refers to.
Unfortunately, when the target is set to “Individuals,” the “Individual Naming” feature isn’t supported. This is because individuals can have various roles (student, teacher, staff, etc.), and the system needs a defined student context to add the correct names. I hope this explanation is helpful!
