Hi!
I’m setting up a tiny language school in the northeast of Brazil. Gibbon suits us perfectly, as we are mostly giving free lessons to the youth of some small cities around here and would like to track them so we can create report cards which are going to help them in the future.
I’m a little bit versed in CSS and PHP and I would like to make color / logo / font and layout changes on the gibbon general template.
I’m aware that I can do this by changing existing template files, but it is clear, that those changes will be overwritten as soon as we update the package.
I found this community post Want to Change Theme Color and Footer Text - #2 by sandra which says:
“…You can customize these by placing a modified copy in your themes/Default/templates
folder.”
Does this still work and how does this fair with image files? Can I override parts of the existing layout just by copying existing files to themes/Default/templates
and Gibbon will load them automatically or do I have to change any path somewhere?
I’m aware that you ask to keep the footer, but we would have to extend it. This should be consistent as well.
Thanks for your appreciated feedback and work, Gibbon will help us to keep administration costs at a bare minimum!
