Custom fields for Families

Hello team! I’ve been using Gibbon lately and I would like to know if it’s possible to add custom fields to the Family as a context within the Custom Fields functionality of the product.

I would like to include additional information of the household so that we don’t have to update certain field to the many students that are part of a single household. I think in the ‘Manage Families’ page I would like to be able to enter that information. Is this possible and if so, how can I do it? I tried custom context but that didn’t seem to show the field.

The families section doesn’t currently support custom fields, and will need some code changes to make this possible. However, I can see the benefit of being able to add fields here for certain types of data, so I’d be happy to add it to the development plan for the upcoming version.
