Hey! I want to cancel a lesson, because the teacher is absent and I want no coverage. I also want, that the lesson in the timetable is marked as cancelled. How?

To record the absence without coverage, go to Staff > Manage Absences > New Absence, fill in the teacher and dates, and when you get to the Coverage section set “Substitute Required” to No. That logs the absence and skips the coverage request entirely.
As for marking the class as cancelled in the timetable, unfortunately, Gibbon doesn’t have a dedicated “cancelled” label for individual classes in this scenario. The timetable will still show the class as normal. But we can have a look to add something in the upcoming versions for cancelled classes. Thank you.
