It is not a wise choice for teachers to keep the information on their phones at the time. It would be better to upload it to Gibbon.
Hi @AndroidOL In System Admin > Custom Fields, you can add your own fields to the behaviour records, and these can include file uploads if you would like.
I still need a lot of time to learn how to use Gibbon. Thanks again for your reply. @sandra
i have not yet addressed some of the requirements the school has, and one of them parents should have access to video short clips of their children showing their progress compared to another video baseline. can a custom field idea help here and where are these files stored and are they stored separately per student folder for example or mixed with others?
Hi @alkindy It sounds like these requirements are quite specific to your school, and may be best handled in a custom module. If you have any development capacity, through your IT team or otherwise, we can offer some suggestions of how you might develop this. Otherwise, another app or platform may be the best solution, as in the end Gibbon cannot replicate every piece of software a school might need. We don’t currently have a module that would offer video support, or parent access, in the way you describe.
thank you Sandra, i am just exploring the possibilities for now. personally i do not recommend for the school to go deep in customization as it has its negatives in terms of maintenance and compatibilities with upgrades, especially with my one man show of IT team with limited skills ![]()
one option i was thinking of is to deploy peertube where is it design for that but i have to know how to log the parent to his/her account smoothly without them knowing what is the background technology behind it.
thank you again
