What are the ideal background image dimensions to replace theme background?

Hi Tieku, good question, and there is no set answer. If you use a repeatable background, then it can be any size, as it will tile. If it is not a repeatable background, and so does not look good tiled, then you’ll want it at least the size of the biggest screen your users are likely to use. Google Analytics can be useful for finding out the range of screen resolutions your users are using: you can save the JavaScript code from Google Analytics under Admin > System Admin > System Settings if you want to use it.

Thanks. That’s helpful. I see the default theme background image is 1920px x 1200px

That should be plenty for most users.
