Attendance (and timetable layout)

Hello everyone,

thanks to all the help here in the forum I have finally managed to transfer our timetable to gibbon :slight_smile:
It takes some getting used to but it’s brilliant.
An unimportant question: Is there a way to hide the row name in the timetable?

The next thing I did was to start working with the attendance module and record attendance in my classes.
Since we usually have double lessons: Is there a way to record attendance for two hours at the same time?
Another case that occurred again today; we received a sick note for several days: Is there a way to mark a student as “absent” and “medical” for the coming days as well?

Hi @michael Welcome to the Gibbon community :smiley: great to hear you’re getting up and running.

Yes, for double-lessons, attendance only needs taken for the first lesson, and Gibbon won’t see the second lesson as missing attendance, so essentially it already does this by default.

You can use the Set Future Absence tool to set students who will be absent for any reason for one or more day.

Sorry, I should have found the “Set Future Absence tool” myself.
Unfortunately, I haven’t had a chance to work on Gibbon since the Christmas holidays.
But after the exams…
