As the name implies, we are a learning organization for senior, retired, people, with around 500 members. Our needs are vey basic - admissions, classroom allocations and timetable creation. Do you think Gibbon can be adequate for such basic needs? Do you know of a reference in a similar organization?
Thanks
Hi @PauloF
Yes, Gibbon can absolutely be an excellent fit for your needs. While it was originally designed for K–12 schools, its flexible and modular structure makes it suitable for a wide range of educational settings—including senior and lifelong learning institutions.
In fact, I’ve worked directly with schools and learning organizations, including non-traditional environments such as law enforcement and police academies, that use Gibbon successfully for the same three use cases you mentioned: admissions, classroom allocations, and timetable creation. They’ve found it both intuitive and powerful enough to meet their operational needs without unnecessary complexity.
If you’d like to explore specific configurations or best practices tailored to your context, feel free to reach out—I’d be happy to share insights based on real-world implementations.
