The problem I was having with my install was on a shared hosting account server. I was having a problem with the links presented on pages that returned a 406 error from the server I didn’t think before to check the absolute path in the admin settings however I found that I could turn off ModSecurity in cPanel with the subdomain and it then functioned correctly. I hope this helps this may not be the way to do it but it works ( I read else where on the forum that this might be a absolute path and or a url path error ) here is a screenshot of the setting I used

I did check the absolute paths and they were correct afterwords so it appears that the paths weren’t the issue
