Adding students to form groups

Hello everyone,

We run a weekend school and have 4 form groups. I’m trying to add students in to the form groups but i dont see the opportunity to do so. see the screenshots

I’m glad that I am also able to answer questions now, and I hope I haven’t made any mistakes. First of all, what you have created is a Form Group, not a Classroom.

  1. Please first try adding Courses & Classes by visiting /index.php?q=%2Fmodules%2FTimetable+Admin%2Fcourse_manage.php.
  2. Set up the Courses that the corresponding Form Group might participate in, such as Math, English, History, etc., and set the grade levels that can enroll in these Courses (for example, lower-grade math, upper-grade physics).
  3. Set up the Classes corresponding to the Courses. A Class is a unit for attendance, and within the same Class, I believe it is a group of a teacher (and possibly a teaching assistant) along with some students. I don’t know why Gibbon doesn’t have the concept of public courses.
  4. Manually add students to the course (click the crowd icon on the right side of the class to edit the participants), or you can do so via the Course Enrolment by Class / Person feature.
  5. Automatically add students to the course, which is suitable for administrative class groupings. You can easily automate Course Enrolment using the academic year and class abbreviations.

Note, point 5 is only applicable to administrative class divisions, not cases where there might be cross-class teaching.
