Hi Ross,

Can you please add the Ghanaian Cedi?

Kind regards,

Roman,

This is done, and commited as below:

https://github.com/GibbonEdu/core/commit/d357ea16fa088d613a90865534c2873005824ff6

Thanks,

Hello Ross,

Can you add the Bulgarian Lev / BGN in the next version?

Thanks,
Dimitar

Dimitar,

Done for v13, and you can see the changes at the following commit:

https://github.com/GibbonEdu/core/commit/b609d308e549d8361c4390795ddf15554678546c

If you would like to use the currency in v12 (the current stable version), you can make the same changes to your systemSettings.php file.

Thanks,

Ross

Thank you Ross

Hi Ross,
I should thank you for your prompt replies.
This is my first message on this list and would like you to add the Moroccan MAD currency.
We are configuring v13 for next week adoption plan.
Thank you.

Alaa, you are welcome! We have added MAD as a currency in the v14 development branch, but the changes are backwards compatible to v13, if you want to make the same change in your version. You can see the details of the changes in the commit below:

https://github.com/GibbonEdu/core/commit/f1f8add52cc99bea21102aa7d35474fd266e5f01

Ross

Dear Ross ,

Thank you for the wonderful work you are doing.

Would you add South African Rand (R) as a currency?

Thanks,
Taahir Maula

Taahir,

It is our pleasure…and thank you for your kind, positive feedback.

If you look in the commit below you will see some changes, which are part of the v15 branch. If you want to, you can copy the change to /src/Forms/FormFactory.php into your own v14 file of the same name, and the new currency should show up:

https://github.com/GibbonEdu/core/commit/35031caccef78bff75d31d094a18b0c63304181d

Thanks,

Ross

Hi Ross, can you add the South African Rand.
Thanks

Hi John, SA Rand is in the system already, but is not in the top section of the currency list (which are PayPal currencies), but in the Other section below that. Can you see it in your install?

Can you add SEK and RMB? I am running a program for Chinese students in Sweden.

Samuel, I have added SEK (which is now PayPal supported) and RMB (not PayPal supported), as well as the Russian Ruble (which I just discovered is now PayPal supported, so got it at the same time). These are included in the latest v15 dev commit:

https://github.com/GibbonEdu/core/commit/9c8e9c97fa7e17364ff64c7793cdbbfdef4a057b

You can copy these new entries over to a v14 file and they should work fine.

Thanks,

Ross

Dear Ross,

Can you please add Emirates Dirham currency to the installation file. The currency details are as follows:

The United Arab Emirates dirham (Arabic: درهم‎, sign: د.إ; code: AED), also known as simply the Emirati dirham, is the currency of the United Arab Emirates. The dirham is officially abbreviated “AED”, while unofficial abbreviations include “DH” or “Dhs.”. The dirham is subdivided into 100 fils (فلس) - Source Wikipedia

Best Regards
Taher

Hi Taher,

Thanks for this information, which made adding AED much easier! It’s always nice to see Gibbon branching out into new areas.

I’ve added this to the v16 development branch of Gibbon, in the following commit:

https://github.com/GibbonEdu/core/commit/a99fdc5c7d19f36bc0303ff93a1803d9ab47f659

This change is backwards compatible with v15, so copy over the changed file and you should see the currency appear in your install.

Thanks,

Ross

cordial saludo
Beatriz

Hello Beatriz, I have added COP as a currency in the v16.0.00 development branch, in the commit linked below:

https://github.com/GibbonEdu/core/commit/3ce04fb8dc344a17d9f08688bf2d74edd5388917

If you are using v15, you should be able to replicate this change in your own files in order to have access to this currency.

Thanks for the introduction you have provided, and welcome to the Gibbon community! It is lovely to hear that Gibbon is being considered for use at the Santa Maria Foundation, and please feel free to keep posting if you need help.

Ross

Hello Ross,

First of all I’d like to thank you for making gibbon available for everyone. I’m using your software in Republic of Benin (west African Country) and I’d appreciate if you can add the Benin currency to the installation.
The currency abreviation is: CFA
The iso currency code is: XOF

You can find more information about the curency on : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CFA_franc

Thank you
