Please i have been searching for where i can create list of subjects offered. And i am yet to find it.
I entered the “subjects” as “courses” under Admin > Timetable Admin > Manage Courses & Classes.
I did not find an option to create subjects for the whole school and create courses using that subjects for the separate year groups.
I recommend using the Import function (Admin > System Admin > Import From File > Timetable Admin > “Classes” and “Courses”) and preparing the spreadsheets for the creation of the courses. This speeds things up a lot and in addition you can easily prepare, change and redo your setup or play with different import files.
Paul’s answer is excellent : ) Gibbon does not formerly have a concept of “subject”, but does allow you to list courses within a department. Perhaps this was an oversight in the design, but it’s been like this for a very long time now!
If you edit a department (Admin > School Admin > Manage Departments), there is a text box to list the subject areas contained within the department, but this pretty informal in terms of data structures and usage.
