I need help with some of these issues.
I’m not sure If I can use variables like {{studentpreferredName}} in emails.
Please help me out.
Hi Marcus, at the moment you cannot use additional variables in emails or messages, with the exception of the two options available in System Admin > Email Templates. We are working on some email template improvements for v23 that will add this capability so more areas of the system.
If you’re using messenger, there is an option called “Individual Naming” which doesn’t add variables to your message, but does prepend the name of the student to the top of the message so that parents with multiple students know who the message is targeted at. Hope this helps!
