Update Gibbon v12 to v17

Hi folks,

I intend to update my database from Gibbon v12 to v17 within the next days.

I was wondering what the best approach would be. Do I have to do this step by step or can I do this in one go?

Advise on this?

Hi Roman, we tend to trim down CHANGEDB.php every so often, to stop it getting too big. This limits the upgrade path, so we try and balance it carefully. For v17, you can upgrade from v11 onwards, and so your upgrade should be fine. I would back up the database, update the code, and then use the build in updater in System Admin to run the database updates. Good luck, let us know how you get on : ) Ross
