Hello everyone, I’m having a problem with the reporting module,
I have been testing the reporting system, Style, logo, layout and I have added a few details for testing.
However, once I delete the testing report from the system and write a new one, It doesn’t update and still shows the old testing report. I believe its a cache issue. So I cleared the cache on the server and also my browser. but I’m still getting the same testing report even though I have changed the report itself and cleared all caches.
If I go into the file system of gibbon I can find the new report and it is what was written. not the old testing report. So, why does the module not update the reports and how can I fix this?
It’s a known problem unfortunately. I haven’t found a fix for it yet.
Anyway, I’m aware of this issue so anytime I repeat the create process for a report I always do a right click with the mouse on the view window of the report and reload the page, which will get me the latest version, always.
Hi Brian, we are working on integrating a reporting tool into the Gibbon core, and are confident that this will be included in v19.0.00, due for release on January 20th 2020 (that’s a lot of 20s!). More news to come soon.
Thank you meierrom, Like you say that trick does the trick. It works, It’s not perfect but it is a good workaround and I just hope that the teachers don’t make many mistakes.
