That’s very helpful thanks for that
As for the tables, they present extra work since they are not very responsive and they have some inline styles not easy to change for someone making a theme.
Would it be a problem if I changed them and gave them classes for styling ?
No problem. For the tables, that would be fine, as long as the default theme continues to look as it is at the moment.
When coding the system I have tried to keep themeability to mind, and reduce the amount of inline styling going on. However, with time always at a premium, sometimes I have taken the quicker route and gone inline.
I have a student who is really into theming. Would you have any interest in mentoring him regarding responsive themes? If you don’t have time, no worries…just always looking to connect students with skillful, interesting people.
I have tended to remove inline styles as they have caused themeing issues. It was always my intention to remove them…but time! Never found enough of it.
Awesome news on the mentoring. Experience is no barrier! Would you mind emailing me on support@gibbonedu.org. I will then connect you and the student via email. If you could CC me in emails you send to him, then I will know how things are proceeding. It might work, but it things fizzle out…no worries!
Thanks again for your ongoing contributions to Gibbon.
Hello Ross
How can I configure formative assessment (fa) and summative assessment (sa) and scholastic and co-scholastic observations as per cbse guidelines in assessment section
Please can you post this as a new question (as this is really off topic), and include a link to some information on CBSE guidelines. With this information, I will try and help you.
Willpro, I just spoke to @dex3844, and he has confirmed that he is still working on a responsive theme, and that he hopes to deliver in December. This means that, all going to plan, it should be included in v11, which is due to be released on January 20th 2016. Ross
Frankz, we were hoping to have this ready for v13, but there have been complications. The earliest release we will consider it now is v15. All going to plan v14 will see some some serious rationalisation of the code base, which will then make it feasible to consider responsive in v15. But, nothing concrete yet.
