# not able to see the MY CHILDREN

Hi @admin ,

We are migrating data from an old system to gibbon , and we are not able to see the children.

And what is the relation for parent and child , while we look at the current data and schema

(login as parent → Home \> Students \> View Student Profiles — Error :You do not have access to this action )

As a admin we gave a permissions also… (Admin \> User Admin \> Manage Permissions for the various View Student Profile options)

Hello! After granting parents the View Student Profile\_myChildren rights, do you still see “You do not have access”, or do you see a different message? Thanks! Ross

Yes, granting parents View Student Profile\_myChildren still I see this error “You do not have access”.

This happens if the family the parent is assigned to has no children.  
Can you verify this?
