Migrating from V16 to V17

We are using V16 and want to update it on V17 . How we can update it so that our existing data may not loss.

Dear Admin,

                  I have downloaded latest ZIP File ,Please guide me where to unzip it /In what folder I have to unzip it and then to login and update.

Hi Ghulam, you can unzip the folder anywhere, and then copy the files over to the root directory of your Gibbon install (e.g. this might be /var/www/gibbon on an Ubuntu machine). Make sure not to overwrite any additional modules/themes that you have installed. Good luck! Ross.
