# Detentions and Suspensions

I would like the ability to record detentions and suspend users from the system

Hello. You can customise the list of behaviour descriptors and levels to include detentions and suspensions. Check our Admin \> School Admin \> Manage Behaviour Settings. These are not built into the system by default as they do not tie in with the teaching philosophy from which Gibbon arose. Hope this helps. Ross.

Thanks. I understand why they are not built in. We don’t use them unless there is a severe issue.
