I have my timetables broken up into hour long sections (8-9, 9-10, 10-11, etc). Our classes may be 30 mins, 1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours, or 4 hours depending on the class/course.
I’d like to schedule classes across the timetable sections (so BAND is 8-12, CHOIR is 9-11, etc)
Is there a way to do this? or is there a better way to handle this sort of flexible schedule?
Single classes don’t quite span multiple periods, but they can be timetabled in several sequential periods. The best way to likely achieve the kind of flexible timetabling you’re looking for is to create periods in your smallest increment (30 mins) and then schedule longer classes to span several sequential periods as needed.
