What would make my login work with one browser and not the other. I used chrome successfully to log in from the start. And then at a point I could not log in using chrome. No message on the screen. I deliberately typed in a bad password, and only then got “Incorrect username and password.” Cleared cache, still not working.
Switched to the new MS Edge and that works.
I do have other Gibbon sites I can access using chrome on my computer.
Hmmm, that is odd. My first guess would certainly be cache, you could try an Incognito window to test. Otherwise, has anything else about the site changed, such as the base URL, a HTTPS redirect, and changes to server settings related to sessions?
This has been happening with lots of kids in our school (usually with UC browser etc. Most of them use mobile phones to access). I ask them to log in with chrome and it works.
Oh dear! That does not look good. When this happens, are you able to see anything on your server logs? How about in the browser, if you use Inspect > Network? Ross.
I am testing Gibbon on a temporary server and trying to understand most functions and features and I saw this same issue on chrome, but then refreshing the page or restarting the browser resets the problem. Though it is odd.

Once I spot the behavior again I will try capture any error logs that and post here.

Everyone is using chrome now with not many problems, once someone reports, I’ll check it again.
