# App Parents

Good day everyone on the forum. I am a new user and I am trying the features of this great platform. But I was wondering, is there an app for students and parents to download connected to the platform? Thanks in advance for your reply.

Hi orzowilde, thanks for your kind words on Gibbon. Gibbon is entirely web-based, which means that there is no mobile app for parents and students: everyone logs into the same web interface, and is then presented with relevant information according to their role and permissions.

In short, for a small team, building a web app would simply divide our programming time too much, hence the focus on the web.
