Adding Links on Main Menu Navigation

Hello, this is regarding adding links on the main menu navigation. By the default, we can view
Home Admin Assess Learn People Other

I understand that we can add module links on the navigation by going through
Home > System Admin > Manage Modules > Edit Module
and we can specify the category.

For example, we can add the Badge module under Assess on the main menu navigation and it will look like this:

But what if I wanted to put the link of Badge module like this
Home Admin Assess Learn Peope Other Badge

Is there an easy way to do it or do I have to edit the core files? Thanks

This should be possible by default without hacking.

Can’t you change the category of the Badge module from “Assess” to “Badge”?

You can then additionally modify the sort order in Admin> System Admin> Settings> Display Settings

Hi, thank you for the quick response! I have actually tried that and it looked like this

It is a bit redundant as user has to hover first on the menu Badge to show the clickable sub menu Badge. What I am trying to achieve is to put the badge link with no sub menu like the Home menu.

Hi, seems like it can’t be achieved using the current interface so I did modify the core files and was able to achieve it. Thank you!

Cool!

Hi Jomcdo,
