  • Gibbon installation for one school with 7 locations

EduDot, at the moment you would need to install 7 separate Gibbons, but they could be on the same server. You could then use SQL on that single server to query all seven databases to find out the information you want: not ideal, but should be doable. If you do end up finding a better solution, I'd love to know what it is so that we can learn from it. Sorry we can't do more to address this issue right now. Ross.

  • Spam

Thanks Jack, nuked them. It is a constant battle, even with an array of anti-spam tools. Are you interested in becoming an admin so you can ban such users and delete their content?

  • ICHK Free Learning

Hello, good question! All of the units I have created for our ICHK Human Technologies subject, which include all of our ICT units, are under Creative Commons. I've wrapped up the units into the attaches MySQL files. If you install Free Learning into Gibbon, you can then run this file on your database, and the units should appear. The departments will need to be updated, but other than that it should work. Good luck, and let us know how you get on. Ross.

  • Editing Behaviour Records

    Orlando,

OK, problem solved! For some reason your Gibbon database table gibbonBehaviour had the field name "date" spelled as "Date" with a capital "D"...to the PHP web server engine these are then two different things, and so certain things stopped working.

I cannot imagine how it came to be Date, as it is certainly not like this in the installer. Has someone been playing with your database at all?

At any rate, I've changed it back, and it should now be working.

I've cleaned up after myself, deleting the account I set up in the database to be able to get into your Gibbon install.

    Cheers,

    Ross

  • New to Gibbon - small private homeschool

Happy to help : ) You might find Free Learning to be a great fit for home schooling. Check out some background information at http://rossparker.org/free-learning, and then look at installing the Gibbon module for it if you find it useful. Happy to give you a Skype demo at some point.
